Bridge Over Troubled Waters Welcomes New Chief Development Officer Katie Amoro

Bridge Over Troubled Waters is proud to announce the arrival of Katie Amoro as our new Chief Development Officer. In this role, Katie will lead all fundraising strategy and development efforts to advance Bridge’s mission of supporting vulnerable youth experiencing homelessness.

Katie brings more than two decades of nonprofit fundraising experience and a deep passion for helping underserved communities. Prior to joining Bridge, she served as the Senior Director of Development at The Baker Center for Children and Families, where she led the implementation of a multi-year development strategy, strengthened donor engagement, and expanded philanthropic partnerships to support the organization.

Katie began her career at Rosie’s Place, developing a comprehensive understanding of effective fundraising strategies. She later held the role of Senior Director of Development at Cradles to Crayons, where she built a robust development program focused on major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants, volunteer engagement, and events.

Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business: Marketing/Advertising from Florida Atlantic University and is currently pursuing her Executive MBA at Suffolk University.
