Bridge Conducts Strategic Research on Youth Homelessness

Bridge has recently published new studies on youth homelessness and its effects on the young people we serve. These articles are part of our ongoing research efforts that examine general trends and patterns among young adults experiencing homelessness and evaluate interventions that our agency has developed.
Our new research has been published in prestigious journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and previous work has won awards, such as Editor’s Best of 2023.
There is very little research examining youth experiencing homelessness and our studies fill a critical gap in the current knowledge base. We are partnering with researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School to conduct rigorous clinical studies to address this gap.
“We hope these studies create more knowledge and awareness of the specific issues that youth experiencing homelessness face while examining best practices for addressing these issues,” said Bridge Over Troubled Waters President & CEO Elisabeth Jackson.
