Bridge Over Troubled Waters Welcomes Madeleine Smith to Board of Directors
July 22, 2024
Bridge Over Troubled Waters (Bridge) is proud to announce the admission of Madeleine Smith to our Board of Directors. Madeleine Smith is the co-founder and CEO of Civic Roundtable, a collaboration and knowledge-sharing platform for public servants. Civic Roundtable was honored on the 2024 Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Impact list.
Madeleine is a recent graduate of Harvard Business School & Harvard Kennedy School motivated by the belief that embracing technology/robust data-driven decision-making is critical to forward progress and rebuilding trust in government, and that when government/private/social stakeholders collaborate effectively, everyone wins. After spending six years gaining deep expertise in the criminal justice system and implementing technology and conducting research in over 100+ cities, she teamed up with a fellow graduate student and her former coworker to incubate and launch Civic Roundtable at the Harvard Innovation Lab.
“We are pleased to add Madeleine to our Board,” said Bridge President and CEO Elisabeth Jackson. “Her experience leveraging technology for mission-driven organizations makes her uniquely positioned to help Bridge be innovative, and her deep desire to help youth experiencing homelessness shows her strong alignment with Bridge’s mission.”
Madeleine expressed her excitement at joining Bridge, saying “I believe deeply in the mission of Bridge and the power of Bridge’s model. I’m honored to join the Board and bring my perspective as an entrepreneur and technologist to support young adults in our city.”
