A Day in the Life: Rapid Re-housing

When I first sit down to my desk, I check my email, especially for any reports or messages from Case Managers that have come in overnight. I oversee several Case Managers who work day-to-day with youth, helping to fnd housing, assisting with rent payment, and serving as the touch point to Bridge and the rest of our services. This is how I keep up-to-date with what’s going on.

Golf Tournament Fundraises for Charity

This past weekend, LIV Golf hosted its LIV Golf Invitational Boston in Bolton, Massachusetts, where players raised funds for nine charities, including Bridge. The full list included: Bolton Conservation Trust to fund trail maintenance, environmental and educational programs, and support land stewardship in the town of Bolton. Coaching4Change to provide low-income students critical mentorship services, empowering youth with life skills that unlock success.

Bridge Over Troubled Waters (Bridge) is proud to announce the admission of Dr. Kevin M. Simon, to our Board of Directors. Dr. Simon is the inaugural Chief Behavioral Health Officer for the City of Boston (Boston Public Health Commission). In this role, Dr. Simon will guide a public health strategy to support Bostonians’ growing mental and behavioral health needs through the Boston Public Health Commission.

Bridge Celebrates 2022 Graduation — In-Person at Last!

Bridge Over Troubled Waters (Bridge) is proud to announce the graduation of 24 of our youth from various courses of study, including the state HiSET program, vocational certification programs, and associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs from public and private universities. To honor their achievements, on June 30, students participated in a special procession from our 47 West St offices to Suffolk Law School, where we held our formal graduation ceremony in person for the first time since 2019.
